Restricting access to “Properties” of My Documents folder (For All Users).

This setting can hide the “Properties” of My Documents folder on Desktop and Windows Explorer.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000
When you go to My Documents folder, press the right mouse button and choose “Properties” or when you select My Documents “Properties” in Windows Explorer, the “My Documents Properties” dialog box will appear. Likewise, selecting “Alt + Enter” key combination with My Documents selected, also calls the same dialog box.

If this setting is enabled, you can prevent the user having access to the “My Documents Properties” dialog box.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey “Explorer” is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value “NoPropertiesMyDocuments”, if this value does not exists.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can hide the properties dialog box. However, if you want to show the dialog box back, change the value to “0” or delete the value.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

NOTE:
The restrictions will apply on all user accounts created on your system.
