Enable “ClearType” contrast resolution.

This setting enables you to adjust the “ClearType” contrast resolution for better results.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows Vista
“ClearType” is a font-enhancement technology that is capable of making fonts appear clearer. This font smoothing method gives better results on LCD display with Windows, if the contrast value is adjusted between 900-1100. However, because “ClearType” still includes antialiasing support, you may see some improvement when you enable “ClearType” on a CRT screen.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the String value “FontSmoothing”, in the right panel, to “2”, along with the Dword value “FontSmoothingType” to set its data to “2”. After this, create a Dword value “FontSmoothingGamma” and set its value between 750-1000, in Decimal.

To disable, delete the added values.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.
