Disable context menu display on the Taskbar.

This setting disables the context menu from appearing on right-clicking on Start button or Navigation Area generally called System Tray.

Upon right-clicking the Taskbar contents like Start button, Notification Area - generally referred as System Tray, or the Taskbar area, it shows context menu of the respective option. With this setting you can disable the context menu display on right-click of these options

For this, go to “Start > Run” menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a DWORD value “NoTrayContextMenu”, if this value does not exist.

Now, right-click and modify the value to “1” which can disable the context menu display. However, if you want to get back the missing options, change the value to “0”.

The changes take effect after a restart or logoff.

The '.reg' file can enable context menu display on Taskbar.

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

'Context menu' is not visible on right clicking start button/system tray.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] , right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoTrayContextMenu" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "NoTrayContextMenu" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value User "1" without quotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done follow the same steps at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\] key.

Show only taskbar icon of minimized applications.

By using this tweak you are able to reduce the size each button needs inside the taskbar.

Hide notification area items (For Current User).

Disable animation while resizing the window.

The user can specify if Windows should animate a window while minimizing, maximizing, and restoring the size of the window.

Restore “Show Desktop” icon in the Quick Launch Bar.

If you have some windows open on your desktop, you can minimize all those windows with the “Show Desktop” button. If this button is not present in the Quick Launch Bar, you can create it using this setting.

Add “Windows Explorer” icon to the Quick Launch Bar.

If you want quick access to your “Windows Explorer”, you can add the "Windows Explorer" icon in the Quick Launch Bar. This setting enables you to create this icon.
