Do not start the welcome screen

This setting lets you disable the screening of welcome screen when Windows gets started for the first time.

Tweak for : Windows 2000
Welcome screen is normally displayed each time the user logs on to Windows 2000 or XP Professional.

For this, go to Start > Run menu, enter “regedit” and navigate to the registry path listed at serial # 1. Then, create a DWORD value name “NoWelcomeScreen”, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with “1” to enable the setting.
Now, this modification is also required for all the users. So, navigate the registry path at sr.# 2. If the subkey “\Explorer” is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a DWORD value name “NoWelcomeScreen”, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with “1” to enable the setting.

Close the registry.

After restart, the changes take effect.

NOTE:
You can also start the "Welcome Screen" manually, but with this setting you can also prevent this. If you like to disable the "Welcome Screen" for all users, you can go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE with the same subkeys

Apply registry settings according below given steps of screenshots with related changes.

No ‘Welcome Screen’ is displayed on the ‘Desktop’.

‘Welcome Screen’ is visible by default on the ‘Desktop’.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policie s\Explorer\],right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoWelcomeScreen" in "Explorer" key.

Next, right-click on "NoWelcomeScreen" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) without quotation in he text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.

Enable users to automatically logon to Windows (For 98/ME).
