Use automatic logon.

This setting enables you to use the automatic login instead of the default Winlogon process.

Tweak for : Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
This setting enables you to use the automatic login instead of the default Winlogon process.

If you use the auto login, you don’t have to press any buttons to enter your system.

If Windows starts and an automatic login is performed, Windows will decrement the numbers of automatic logins by -1. The number of automatic logins is saved in the variable "AutoLogonCount" (in the key listed below) that must be in the range from 1 to 4294967295 to use this setting.

For this go to "Start->Run" and enter "regedit" and search the key listed below. You can create string values "DefaultDomainName", "DefaultPassword", "DefaultUserName" and "AutoAdminLogon", if these values is not existing.

Now you can set these values to use the automatic login. After a restart or logoff the changes take effect.

WARNING:
By using this setting your password and username is saved in the Windows registry in a non-encrypted form. Someone could easily detect your password and username. If you use this feature, you can’t save important data on your computer.

NOTE:
If automatic login is enabled, you can temporarily stop it by pressing the SHIFT key before default login screen is visible. In this case you have to enter your username and password.

If the string value name “DontDisplayLastUserName” is enabled, you can’t use the auto logon feature. You can find this at the key for Windows XP and Windows 2000/2003:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Note Windows 2000:
If you use Windows 2000, you can enable the value of “ForceAutoLogon” in the key listed below to prevent resetting on reboot for this setting.
